Magnetic Selfie Ring Light with Mirror
Clamps onto the phone, throws even light on your face, and has a mirror on the back for the times you are not filming.
Magnetic Selfie Ring Light with Mirror
Clamps onto the phone, three colour temperatures, mirror on the back. The reason everyone’s videos suddenly started looking better than yours.
What it actually is
A small ring light that attaches magnetically or by clip to a phone, offering three colour temperatures — 2700K warm, 5600K daylight and 7500K cool — with adjustable brightness and a 360-degree rotating head. The rear face is a makeup mirror.
Who it's for
Anyone recording video on a phone indoors, which in Indian homes usually means fighting a single overhead tube light that casts shadows straight down your face. Also genuinely useful for makeup in bad bathroom lighting.
The honest downside
It is small, so it lights a face at arm's length and very little else — it will do nothing for a room or a product shot. The magnetic mount needs a MagSafe-compatible phone or a metal ring stuck to the case, which the listings tend to gloss over. And it drains its own battery quickly at full brightness.
Check these before you buy
- Whether your phone supports magnetic attachment, or you need the clip version
- Battery life at full brightness — often well under two hours
- Whether it charges by USB-C or the older micro-USB
- That 3W is genuinely small; do not expect studio output
Verdict
Fixes the one lighting problem phone video actually has. Ignore the wattage and judge it on faces.
