Mini Bag Sealer with Cutter
Every kitchen in India has a drawer of half-open packets held shut by hope and a rubber band. This ends that.
Mini Bag Sealer with Cutter
Heat-seals the open packet of chips instead of the clip you lost in 2019. Cutter and magnet built in, so it lives on the fridge.
What it actually is
A handheld heat sealer with six heat settings on an LED display, a 9.5cm sealing width, a cutter blade on the side and a magnet on the back so it lives on the fridge. No preheating — you press and drag along the top of the packet, and it fuses the plastic shut.
Who it's for
Anyone who buys snacks, dals, or spices in plastic packets and finishes them over a week. The six heat settings matter more than they sound: a thin chips packet and a thick dry-fruit pouch need very different amounts of heat, and single-setting sealers scorch one or fail on the other.
The honest downside
It only works on plastic. Foil-lined packets — most Indian chips and namkeen bags are foil-lined — need the higher settings and sometimes two passes, and very thick pouches will not seal at all. It is also easy to melt straight through the bag on the first attempt while you learn the right speed.
Check these before you buy
- That yours has the LED display, since the cheaper single-setting version looks near-identical
- Sealing width — 9.5cm is enough for most packets but not a large family pack
- Whether it runs on batteries or USB, as both versions are sold under similar names
- Reviews mentioning the cutter, which is the part most likely to arrive blunt
Verdict
The most quietly useful thing on this list, and the cheapest way to stop stale namkeen.
