Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit Weirdly Good (https://weirdlygood.shop), a product-discovery site operated by Rajat Pandey (Weirdly Good) from Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

The short version: we don't have accounts, we don't have a login, we don't run a newsletter and we have no database of visitors. We never ask you for your name, email, address or payment details — there is nowhere on this site to type them. What we do have is affiliate links, and clicking one lets a retailer set a cookie so they know the visit came from us. That's the whole of it.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the party that decides how personal data is handled is the Data Fiduciary. For this site that is:

2. What we collect directly

One form, and only if you choose to use it. There is no sign-up, no login, no mailing list and no shopping cart anywhere on this site. We set no cookie of our own and we run no analytics account.

The single exception is Find it for me, where you can describe something you want and ask us to hunt it down. If you submit that form, we receive:

FieldRequiredWhy
Your description of the itemYes It is the request. Without it there is nothing to search for.
Email address or Instagram handleYes It is the only way to send you the answer.
Budget rangeNo Narrows the search. A dropdown, never an exact figure.
Who it is forNo Changes what counts as a good suggestion. A dropdown.

That information is used to answer your request, and for nothing else. You are not added to a mailing list, you are not profiled, and your request is never sold or shared. We may keep an anonymised note of what was asked for — the item, not who asked — to decide what to add to the catalogue. Requests and contact details are deleted once the request is answered and closed, and in any case within 12 months. Ask us sooner and we will delete yours on request.

Everything else on the site still transmits nothing. The category filters, the sort control, the search box on the home page and the live matcher on the request page all run entirely inside your own browser, against a catalogue file already downloaded to the page. What you type into either box is never sent anywhere unless you press the submit button on the request form.

3. What third parties collect

A page that loads fonts, and links out to shops, unavoidably involves other companies. Here is every one of them and what each receives:

WhoWhenWhat they receive
Netlify
(hosting)
Every visit Standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. Used for delivering the site and preventing abuse. Netlify also receives and stores submissions from the Find it for me form, and notifies us by email — so anything you type into that form is held on Netlify's servers as well as reaching us.
Google Fonts Every visit The two typefaces on this site are served from Google's servers, so your IP address and browser details reach Google when the fonts load. Google states that Fonts requests do not set cookies.
Amazon
(Associates Programme)
Only when you click an Amazon link A tracking cookie identifying us as the referrer, so any purchase you make is credited to us. Governed by Amazon's own privacy notice.
Cuelinks Only if a Cuelinks channel ID is configured, and only on non-Amazon links A script that rewrites outbound links to Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra and similar into affiliate links, and records the click so commission is attributed correctly.

We do not control these companies and we do not receive your personal data back from them. What we see is an aggregate commission report — how many clicks and how many orders, never who you are.

4. Cookies

Weirdly Good sets no first-party cookies. The only cookies that can appear are affiliate-attribution cookies set by a retailer or by Cuelinks after you choose to click through to a shop.

You can block or delete these at any time in your browser settings, or browse in a private window. Doing so costs you nothing — prices, availability and your rights as a buyer are identical either way. The only consequence is that we don't get paid.

5. Legal basis and purpose

The limited processing described above happens for two purposes only: to serve the website to you, and to attribute affiliate commission on purchases you choose to make. We do not profile visitors, we do not build audience segments, and we do not sell, rent or share data with anyone for advertising.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you have the right to ask us for access to your personal data, to have it corrected or completed, to have it erased, to nominate someone to act for you, and to raise a grievance.

In practice we hold no personal data about you, so there is usually nothing for us to produce or delete. Where the data sits with a third party — a retailer's affiliate cookie, for instance — you should exercise your rights directly with them, and we will help you identify who to contact. Write to rajatpandeyindia29@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If our response does not satisfy you, the DPDP Act allows you to escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. The DPDP Act treats anyone under 18 in India as a child and requires verifiable parental consent before their data is processed. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we do not knowingly process any child's data. If you believe a child's data has somehow reached us, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention and security

We retain no personal data, so there is nothing for us to store or to lose. Server logs are held by Netlify under their own retention schedule. The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted in transit.

9. Links to other sites

Every product button on this site takes you to a third-party retailer. Once you leave, this policy no longer applies and theirs does. We'd encourage you to read it — particularly on marketplaces where the actual seller is a third party rather than the platform itself.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the home page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.

11. Contact

Questions, requests or complaints about privacy go to rajatpandeyindia29@gmail.com, or see the contact page.
